Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
The gold standard for bone density assessment and osteoporosis diagnosis.
What is a DEXA Scan?
Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) is the most accurate and widely accepted technology for measuring Bone Mineral Density (BMD). It uses low-dose X-rays to measure bone density in the spine, hip, or the whole body.
This test is essential for diagnosing osteoporosis, assessing the risk of future fractures, and monitoring the effectiveness of medical treatments.
